Snuggles
Who wouldn’t want to snuggle with this sweet little baby? I mean, those overalls, those big brown eyes, those perfect little lips! What a sweet, adorable, snuggly boy!

The life
There’s nothing I like more than spending a cloudy morning hanging out by a big pond with some stale bread, lots of duckies, fuzzy squirrels…and a cute toddler
What a great life! I’m blessed beyond words…and truly thankful

I just bet
…that their baby is going to be quite the looker! I’m pretty certain of this. Just look at momma-to-be…in her 3rd tri, and still smokin’ hot! We had an awesome little maternity session…but what I enjoyed most was getting to know her and daddy-to-be just a bit more, since I’ll be photographing the birth of their baby very soon! I’m so, so excited! So here are a few sneak peaks from our session – sorry it took so long!

The best kind of smile
…is one that shows off those little baby teeth! How oh-so-adorable! It’s always a joy photographing this family. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing them from the time the littlest one was only days old…I really enjoy seeing families over the course of the year. It always amazes me just how fast our little once grow and change!

No terrible twos here
We’ve all heard of (and perhaps even experienced) the “Terrible Twos” in some form or another. You know, crying, screaming, kicking, doing the complete opposite of anything asked (I know most of my days are like this-I have a 2.5 year old). So parents are often scared, literally petrified, of having a photo shoot with their toddler. So I thought I’d share this session in full. This sweet girl was two years old…because I don’t try to “make” kids (or babies for that matter) do anything that they aren’t interested in, sessions almost always go pretty well. Although, I do like a little meltdown now and again – I think they are super cute — teary eyes — awww, I know it’s sad, but kids are so cute with those big sad eyes. Anyway, this one was tantrum free..and our sweet little girl was just a doll! Enjoy!

Generations
To say that this weekend was busy for me would be an understatement. I try not to book myself for back-to-back sessions, but I kind of had to this week. It was energizing though, and I had massive amounts of fun!
The big whammy was a majorly awesome photo shoot – four generations of families…with great grandma leading the pack (what an amazing woman she is, truly). To be exact, 8 families (technically 10) in all…and over 30 people, including kiddies! I must admit, I was pretty nervous going into it, but the moment I met the first family, I knew it was going to be amazingly fun! I think part of it is because this beautiful family totally reminds me of my own
They even fed me afterwards – that made my day — and anyone who knows me knows that I cannot refuse food. Ever. And, I must always finish what’s on my plate (or in my bowl). So, here are a few fave images from this very fun day! I’ll save the massive group photos for later
Oh, and I must thank my hubby for giving me up for two days. I hardly saw him at all this weekend! He did have fun hanging out with Drew (our 2.5 year old) though, which is always nice. But at least we got to watch the Laker game on Sunday night (although I wish I would’ve skipped it because it was quite painful to watch). Anyway, here are the photos! Looking at these brings to surface a deep appreciation of how lucky I am to do what I do! My job has got to be up there on the list of most awesome jobs
So what does about 4.5 hours of shooting and 750+ actuations get you? Well, here’s a little taste:

The perfect formula
Two sweet girls, two beautiful sisters, two wonderful dads and a lovely cloudy day made for a perfect session! June gloom is clearly in full effect – and I really couldn’t be happier about that! It was a gorgeous day at the beach…with the sun peeking through for a few minutes at a time to illuminate the sky and warm up the crisp beachy air…it was perfect

All I need
…is a beanie and a soft chair! And clothes? Who needs clothes? Especially when I’m this cute naked!
I had a blast at this photo session. Not only is this baby super duper sweet, but he’s way ahead of the game – he can sit-up on his own at 5 months! Sooo, we were able to get some amazingly cute photos of him sitting all by himself
Amazing! He’s the youngest baby to date that I’ve photographed sitting up! Here are a few session faves…I can totally see why his mommy is so in love with him. He’s got big, curious brown eyes…and his little smile is so gentle and sweet. Definitely a joy to photograph!

Sweet as pie
A darling, darling little boy…big blue eyes and just as sweet as can be!

The big ONE
Happy (early) birthday! I cannot believe it has been nearly one year since I first photographed this handsome boy as a newborn and of course at 7 mos! Now he’s a big boy – getting ready to turn ONE! I can’t say enough what a blessing it is that I’m able to do what I do. Being invited into the homes and hearts of amazing families to capture unforgettable memories is a true, true joy. Especially being a mother myself, I have a deep appreciation and understanding about how magical it is to have a child…the feelings of love and adoration…of unconditional love…and the amazement that comes with being a parent! It’s really impossible to describe the love you have for your child, until you become a parent yourself…It’s been an incredible journey documenting this sweet boy’s milestones over the past year – and what makes me even more giddy is that I get to photograph his sweet family even beyond his first birthday
So here’s to the birthday boy! Have an awesome time partying it up!
