…my, how quickly 7 months has gone by. Were you really safe & cozy in my belly a mere 7 months ago? I can’t believe it. Look at how big you are! So much personality…and gasp – crawling! Mommy was late in posting these 7 month pictures of you, next week you will be 8 months! This makes me sad, very sad. With your brother, I was so happy with each milestone. I remember thinking to myself “I can’t wait until he sits up, I can’t wait until he crawls, I can’t wait until he walks, I can’t wait until he sleeps through the night”. But with you my angel, each milestone makes me sad. Sad because it means you are growing up, and getting one step closer to being a big girl :( Even the night wakings. I enjoy them. It means time we can cuddle. I can nurse you in a quiet room, hold you, be still with you. It’s lovely. You need me and I need you. Can I keep you this way forever? So sweet, soft, cuddly and small? Of course not, but what I can do is savor each fleeting moment. Take pictures (both physically and mentally) so that I can freeze frame these beautiful moments in my heart & mind before they fade and you’re off and running with your big brother. I love you my little angel.

I love her eyes and the feminine, long, delicate eyelashes that frame them.
I love her pretty pink rosebud lips, her drool…and spit bubbles.
I love how she sticks her little tongue out and tries to touch the tip of her nose.
I love her hair, so fine and soft, like threads of silk.
I love her tiny toes – and every little wrinkle and line that make them uniquely hers.
I love her chubby fingers and the way she clasps her hands together for 23 of the 24 hours in a day.
I love her ears, which she uses to pull and grab onto when she’s tired.
I love her button nose, and the way she nuzzles it in the crook of my neck when she’s falling asleep.
I love her plump cheeks, and how warm and yummy they are after a nap.
I love her smile, that melts my heart each and every time.
I love everything about her.

These are the things I don’t want to forget. Ever. With my son, I was so caught up in being a first-time mom…Trying to get him on a schedule, trying to remedy his sleeping troubles, his eating difficulties and everything else under the sun. But this time around, I really appreciate and bask in the beauty of every moment – taking things in stride. I don’t worry about “fixing” anything because really, there’s nothing to fix. I know that everything will take its own course in its own time. So I enjoy every minute. The night wakings, teething mood swings and everything else. Baby-ness fades away so fast, too fast. I want to remember her as she is now – so cute, chubby, perfectly squishy, in all of her baby goodness :) I want these things to be imprinted in my memory forever.

…sleepy head :) What a trooper. Although he’s definitely not an early bird, he put up with the morning session so very well! He did give me a few looks as if he was thinking “Really, you got me up early for this?!” BUT, he did laugh and smile alot too….so I think he had a good time :) I did however — really, really love his more serious look…the model pose was priceless! Love this chubby little baby boy! I just want to give him cuddles :)

…that’s the sound my heart makes when I think of her, see her, smell her & hold her. She’s 5 months now and I cannot believe how fast it flew by. Despite the lack of sleep (she’s a crap-napper and does not sleep very well at night), I am at total peace and feel blessed beyond words for her…as does daddy and big bro. Here she is modeling some super cute headbands made by a wonderful client of BSP! They’re made of Swarovski crystals and sparkle so beautifully – love them! Check out her etsy shop here!

…is what was running through my head as I proofed this session. How sweet, lovely & beautiful – an adorable baby boy with his pretty pretty mama – these two are a vision of perfection with the soft sunlight behind them :) And would you look at those big blue eyes?! Stunning indeed! He was such a calm, cool & collected little guy – he was a joy to photograph and I’m very much looking forward to our next session! Here are some of my favorites :)

Emi bear

Oh, em, gee! I can hardly believe my sweet girl is only a few days shy of three months! So sad, really – it reaally saddens me that she is growing up so fast. Can I just keep her this age forever? It’s such a cute cute age! I love everything about this girl – from her smell to the way to looks at me and even the way she cries. She’s a doll, a sweetheart, a precious angel…my baby girl. Here are some things she’s doing these days:

- Laughs with her tongue sticking out. I looove when she does this.
- Makes a coughing sound and smiles when something amuses her
- Keeps her hands in tight little fists with her thumb in between her index & middle finger (which is something I do, too)
- Curls her toes in and always keeps them together
- Naps horribly during the day (20 min catnaps), but sleeps 4-7 hours at night (score!)
- Loves to be held but does not like to be worn in a sling (booo! her brother loooved the sling)
- Loves bathtime
- Still needs to be swaddled for sleep
- Frowns (like her daddy), just as much as she smiles :)
- Has her daddy, brother & mommy wrapped around her little finger!

What do you think about the last side by side images? This is Emi and Drew around the same age. Do you think they look alike??? These two are definitely connected on another level. They manage to wake up at the same time every morning! Whether it be 6am, 6:30, 7:30 or 8am! They are up within minutes of each other – what in the world?!

Come on now, how cute is he with those sunglasses, beater & skinny jeans?! Oh my goodness! Yah, totally rockin’. He was so cool, in fact, that he had to nap mid session while daddy held him :P Teehee, not only is he super cool, but he’s also super cute. Have you seen baby rolls and chubby cheeks as cute as his? And his eyes are seriously amazing – those long lashes and beautiful shape! Oh, how I love chubby wubby babies!

Gorgeous, sparkly blue eyes and a sweet, bubbly, sparkly personality to go along with them :) What a sweet, sweet baby girl! Not only is she beautiful with her charming smile and striking blue eyes, but she’s also got such a wonderful personality. She seemed quite easy going and just a happy girl all around. She gave me lots of different facial expressions – all of which were just as cute as the ones before! I can see why mommy and daddy are smitten :)

I know what you’re all thinking…something along the lines of “Oh my gosh, how cute, how absolutely cute”, or “He’s sooo adorable, I just want to squeeze his chubby wubby cheeks”. Yes, that is what I was thinking during our shoot, too :) Aand, would you look at big sister – so incredibly charming I must say. I can’t believe that the last time I photographed her, she was small enough to sit in a bucket and wasn’t even crawling yet :) Now she’s an energetic, funny, beautiful preschooler! My how time flies…and I just love that I’m able to capture these special times as their family grows!

Hello, Missy

…that’s the typical way my husband greets Emi. He calls her “Missy” – and so does my son. My nicknames for her include: Emi girl, Emi Reesey, baby girl & Em. I can hardly believe that she is 6 weeks now and weighing 9 lbs 9 oz. This girl loves to eat (unlike her bro, who always had a hard time eating). She also loves to sleep! Thank goodness :) She’s getting much better at tummy time these days and her hair is starting to grow back – she had cradle cap that started at around 11 days, and thanks to some Burt’s Bees Baby Oil, Bella B’s Organic Cradle Cap Shampoo & lots of brushing, it’s finally gone and the hair that fell out is coming back :) We actually had pro photos taken when she was 10 days old, right before the cradle cap started – so thank goodness for that! Now that she’s camera ready, I can keep sharing more pics! Here she is doing tummy time. I love her eyes….beautiful almond shaped peepers just like her brother (and daddy). I love her so much – these photos make me so happy :)

I also wanted to share some of my current must have baby items:
- Baby Connect iPhone App (Because what’s not to love about graphs on baby poo and nursing frequency? score!)
- Jewel’s “Lullaby” Album (Hello tears, makes me very weepy)
- Swaddle Strap – thanks to this lovely mommy. (Looks a little frightening, but it works!)
- Rocker (Folds so it’s easy to bring up and downstairs)
- Bassinet (So cute, and functional since Emi sleeps in our room)
- Tommee Tippee bottles (so daddy can feed while I’m at sessions) and WubbaNub Pacis (because they’re so cute)
- Mother’s Milk Tea (Really works! And tastes yummy)
- Baby Monitor HD Camera & iPhone App (Uber cool. We use our iPhone, iPad & computer to view multiple cams at once all on one device instead of lugging multiple monitors around the house…perfect for when both kids are napping in different rooms)

It’s raining out right now! Time to go snuggle with my Emi girl and smell her sweet baby’s breath (I looooove). And take in all of her cuddly warmth. Sigh.
