…I get to see more of this adorable baby girl as she reaches her 1st birthday, just like I did for her big sister here. She was the perfect, perfect little angel for our newborn session. An adorable button nose and gorgeous skin :) Here she is at 5 days young! It was also so fun hanging out with big sister – it’s been over a year since I last saw her, and she was just as bubbly, happy & amazingly beautiful as she was the last time. She was totally interested in her little sister and held her so perfectly – what a wonderful big sis she is! As you parents out there know, toddlers love to challenge requests, but this sweetie was such a good little model…I almost took her home with me :P I already know she will be marrying my son when they get older (wink).

…but in a good way! It’s actually been a few months since I photographed a blue-eyed baby. And wow, I was definitely blown away by hers. Not only that, but she had the perfect elbow dimples, an adorable smile that showed off her two bottom teeth, and such a lovely peachy-pink complexion. She was such a joy to photograph! I also soo enjoyed chatting with mommy. I always love having mommy convos during photo sessions because us moms just have so much in common! I have to admit that at least half of why I love what I do so much is getting to meet and hang out with awesome fams – it’s really amazing :) Here are a few sneak peaks of this gorgeous girl that I was lucky enough to photograph on a cool, cloudy morning at the beach!

…this baby is too adorable for words! Not only is he super duper cute…but he was also a champion sleeper. Totally sleepy, warm & cuddly – perfect for a photo shoot. It was pretty challenging not to blog their entire newborn session! Is he not the most adorable, sweet baby boy you’ve ever seen? And we definitely had a smiler on our hands – I knew that if I was patient, I’d get to see him smile while he slept in this perfect little pose – and I was right…would you look at the cuteness! He definitely has me smiling :)

Family images on black aren’t typically my favorite type of shots. I much prefer lifestyle images of parents with their newborn hanging out in the living room, bedroom, nursery or yard. BUT – I must say, I actually adore these below. Sweet baby boy settled so perfectly in his mommy and daddy’s arms…I just couldn’t help but fall for these! Plus, would you look at his little smile again?! So much smiling :) My fave has to be the close-up with daddy – because you can see his itty bitty pink gums – so precious. I seriously miss my son’s toothless grins…now he has a bunch of teeth that we have to brush!

…just popping in to introduce the sweetest little baby from a recent photo shoot – here he is:

There will definitely be more images to share from his session!
The last few weeks have been pretty crazy over here, so I’m very behind on blog posts and will be playing catch-up soon! Plus, lots of exciting BSP news to share. Hopefully this precious baby boy will be enough eye candy for now :)

I forgot how cute those gurgly little newborn noises are. His little grunts and gurgles were so adorable! Reminds me of my son – when he was a newbie he would grunt hard and stretch out his arms and legs at the same time – it was quite hilarious :) When we had their maternity session, mommy told me he would get really squirmy in her tummy every time they were scheduled to have photos taken…so I was happily surprised to find that he was the perfect little newborn model for our session! He gave me a good, solid 20 minutes of deep sleep…and when he was awake, he was relaxed and totally content. He even looked right at the camera on several occasions…here he is…just as sweet as pie!

Big brother and I had the coldest, soggiest socks ever! The grass was so wet from the morning dew that with each step, water just gushed into our shoes! Uncomfortable, yes – worth it, a million times yes! I’d dip my shoes in cold water any day to get a family shot like the first one below. I think this one is my fave for 2011 so far! Would make a nice canvas, no? The morning of this shoot was fuh-reezing cold! I mean, it was soooo cold! But everyone hung in there and I was able to capture some sweet moments :) What a joy photographing such beautiful children — are they not just gorgeous?!

Just look at that adorable face and expressive little pucker. His word was “ooooh” – apparently, he saw something very awe inspiring and was sharing his thoughts with us. Not surprisingly, I was feeling the same “ooooh” that he was. As I photographed this sweet little guy, I kept getting so excited about how awesome his facial expressions were! I love it when feelings are mutual :) I just looked back at his newborn session and totally remember how itty bitty he was – so delicate and small – content and relaxed. Awww, I can hardly believe it’s been a year!

The winner for Blueberry Sky Photography’s 2010 Image Contest is….
my own personal favorite image below! I titled this one “Be with you every step of the way”. After meeting this amazing family and having the opportunity to witness how much in love they all are, my heart was so full of joy when I looked through my viewfinder to see this image. The sweet moment between father & daughter, their footprints in the sand, walking together into beautiful light, and how small she looks standing next to her daddy – all of it – I love :) Congratulations! You’ll receive an 11×14″ canvas of your winning image and a $300 print credit for your next session :)

Thanks everyone for voting! Until next year!

10! What better way to celebrate 10 years together then by getting married? Lucky for me, I was privileged enough to be present at such an amazing event! The bride was so beautiful, and the ranch was just breathtaking at sunset – it was a perfect day all around!

Would you check these out? The sunset that evening was breathtaking…and the bride, well let’s just say…the groom is a lucky man!

…he’s *still* as cute as he was as a baby (wink). Trust me – I love a soft, chubby, cuddly baby as much as I love a bowl of ice cream + brownie, but I must say, 3 year olds are just as cute :) It seems as though most (if not all) boys love trains. I’m not sure what it is (maybe it’s the huge size or the cool sounds) but kids just looove trains! So we headed down to these really cool deserted railroad tracks to play! Of course, we weren’t there for a photo session – oh no! We were there to check out the tracks – and he just *happened* to be dressed up all cute and spiffy as he yelled “All aboard” about 101 times. And, as with most children’s sessions, 30 minutes is all I needed (and it’s also the longest a kid will last for photos)!
