Already famous

At 10 days old, little Breyker is already famous! After his amazingly beautiful birth story, he definitely won over the hearts of many, many people! I’m certain that loads of people are waiting to see images from this sweetie’s newborn session. And as I predicted after his mommy’s maternity sessions – he is extremely handsome, cute, adorable, super snuggly and just plain gorgeous He’s got the creamiest, soft, rosy complexion (he had little to no peeling or redness on session day)….a perfect little nose, a full pout, and big, beautiful eyes — I’m not sure what color they will be in a few weeks, as eye color tends to change…but for now they seem to be a gorgeous shade of dark blue (but I could be wrong). I guess it doesn’t really matter because he is just so stinkin’ cute anyhow! And hello – does mom look like she just gave birth? No way! So lovely…a beautiful family as a whole! The session was just awesome…there was so much love in the air — and that definitely shows through in these images.

All I want to do

…is sleep. Wow! Typically, my newborn sessions are within the first two weeks of birth…mostly because babies are really sleepy during the first few weeks which means lots of snuggly, sleepy, squishy baby photos. Then at around 3 weeks, they become more alert, which means they like to stay awake during sessions to see what’s going on. But this time, our little baby boy was just as sleepy as can be. He was such a great little model. We tried to wake him up for some photos to capture his big eyes – but he wasn’t having it! In fact, he got very annoyed at us for even trying…I think he tried to keep his eyes open for a little, but each time, those lids would quickly get heavy and he’d be ready for more snoozing. The photos towards the bottom were when we tried to keep him awake…he wasn’t very excited about this – but cute nonetheless. I can’t complain though, I always love sleepy babies – so here he is…just as snuggly and sleepy as can be.

The Belle of the ball

She was the Belle of the ball during our photo session, and I just have this little feeling that the trend will continue on for months to come She’s definitely a girlie girl…a little princess…so sweet and pretty. You can see for yourself how lovely she is…precious little Hailey Belle at only 8 days young. Annnd of course, her beautiful mommy & daddy – so you can see where she gets her good looks from!

There’s no better place for a newborn to be than in mommy’s arms. And, there’s no better place for a mommy to be — than in daddy’s arms

This beautiful family of three just became a family of four! And what a perfect little “plus one” he is Just to give you a quick run down of how cute he is….you can see in the images below: his adorable button nose, perfectly shaped pout, squishy newborn rolls, peachy-rosy complexion, a full head of gorgeous brown hair…AND, what makes me want to bring him home with me even more, is that he is a wonderful sleeper (so far)! As parents, we all know what a great thing having a sleepy newborn baby is! But wait, this cutie also has a sweet and spunky big sister who is just as adorable! One word to describe her: Energetic A seriously beautiful family!

I had the pleasure of photographing her big brother when he turned one a year ago…and last week I got to meet little sis! It’s always beautiful to watch families grow…witnessing the new connections made & strengthening the love that was already there. Another baby means more to love, and we can never have too much of that

Wonderment

Two weeks young and this baby boy is already interested, aware, and absolutely fascinated by the world around him! He had his moments of cuddly sleepiness during our photo session, but he definitely preferred to be awake The first image below is my favorite shot of the day…the adorable wrinkle on his nose as he yawns is the cutest little thing

In a heartbeat

I’d absolutely go back to photograph this sweet newborn baby boy again — in a heartbeat! Not only is he a beautiful baby (with such beautiful skin tone and amazing facial features), but he is also so content and peaceful – it just made the photo session such a joy. Well, I have to say that what also helped was daddy being a total baby whisperer…rocking and hushing this sweetie to sleep and from pose to pose so gently and effectively.

You can see clearly here how gorgeous his skin tone is. Perfectly peachy-pink….And his head of beautiful dark hair. He actually reminds me a lot of my own baby boy when he was a newborn – except mine didn’t sleep soooo well like this baby does

And this image I just love. This is a super cute pose, but one of the main reasons I love it so much for newborn sessions is because of the way it makes baby’s face look. There’s really nothing cuter than newborn cheeks and lips…perfectly chubby cheeks and a perfect pout – beautiful lips just like his mommy’s…and this pose really highlights those adorable features.

At 10 days new, this sweet boy was an absolute joy to photograph. He’s super cute and a fabulous sleeper. I can’t say enough how beneficial it is to have newborn sessions early, between 5-10 days is really ideal…..I just love being able to capture these fleeting moments – because in about a week he will probably put on a few pounds and start looking more and more different! I had a wonderful time as this photo session!! More to come!

The stork came early

…and he brought a sweet, sweet surprise! This beautiful newborn was a perfect little model for our photo session – he slept like a champ and didn’t mind any of these poses at all! And my oh my, just look at how adorable he is!

I’d have to say, these are some of my favorite family and newborn images to date. He curled so beautifully in his parents arms – when I saw this image even before I pressed the shutter button, I was smiling HUGE because I just knew the resulting images were going to make me a happy camper. So content, so lovely. And look at mommy, she is just glowing.

And yes folks, we have a smiler! Newborn babies give me smiles sometimes during photo sessions, but this sweetie was just full of them – sleep smiles galore! I always encourage parents to have their newborn sessions within the first 10 days of birth because they’re still itty bitty–which allows me to fit them in little spaces….like a bookshelf Don ‘t worry – safety is always first – we had daddy as a spotter…and me very close, as well as mommy just a few steps away–and baby was curled up on a nice soft blanket What I love most about the shot below is the tree…which was from mommy’s baby shower…it has notes hanging from it with well wishes for baby boy

This was an absolutely fabulous newborn session! I’ll definitely be sharing more!

The world just got brighter

As if this precious angel’s mother wasn’t beautiful enough for our maternity photo session…to be honest, I knew she was going to be a beauty – but truly, to see her in-person – wow – she is just so lovely. Rosy-peach complexion and so very delicate…It’s true – the world just got brighter because of her

Itty bitty fingers and teeny tiny toes

It was an absolute pleasure photographing your little one and getting to meet her in-person! Not only is she gorgeous – but she’s got the sweetest little personality *translated – she let me move her around without waking up – which is so important when photographing newborns* I’m honored to have been able to capture these special, special moments Life is beautiful…and with every newborn session, I have a renewed sense of wonderment about the miracle of birth…and the joy of becoming a parent (now I will go snuggle with my own sweet boy)…More to come!

… I’d much rather stay awake!

Although baby girl wanted to stay awake during our session – we did luck out and get a few minutes of sleep time. Ohh, and it was well worth the wait to get a sweet shot like the one below.
