4-3-2-1. That’s 4 hours, 3 sets of hands (mom, dad & I), 2 babies and 1 camera – that’s what it took to capture the amazing-ness, adorable-ness, sweet-ness and pure beauty of these twin boys!

Her skin – no redness or peeling. Her lips – so full and perfectly pink. Her smile – so cute and charming. Her parents – so gorgeous. Her home – absolutely stunning (a photographer’s dream). An absolutely lovely, lovely little girl….made for an equally lovely newborn session!

….during our newborn session, grandma described this sweet little pea as looking like an angel-baby. I have to say that I wholeheartedly agree…her face is so angelic. With a soft pinky-peachy complexion that is so very delicate, and a sweet feminine little smile – she definitely resembles a little angel. I really could not get over that smile of hers. So adorable! What a happy and calm little girl. She pretty much slept through the entire session…which enabled us to capture all that precious, cuddly, sleepy newborn goodness that really only lasts for the first few weeks of life. She looked so snuggly and soft :) How beautiful is she?

…this sweet boy was born only 3 days after his mommy’s maternity session! It’s a good thing we had that session when we did otherwise we would have missed the chance for pregnancy photos :) The timing was definitely perfect! Knowing that his big brothers are so gorgeous, it came as no surprise that he was also quite a cutie pie himself. He was awake for the most part of the session (even with grandma’s oh-so-patient attempts to get him to sleep), so I was able to see just how lovely his eyes were. And his lips, so full and pouty! Towards the end of the session, he did start getting sleepy, so I was able to snag some sleeping baby images that I was so, so happy about! And I won’t even talk about mom – how lovely is she at 10 days after giving birth to her third boy?!

…it’s true, three *is* a crowd and sessions including three little ones always makes me nervous. Any photographer will tell you that taking photos of three kids – one being a newborn – is no easy task :) I will admit that I’ve had my fair share of failed attempts at this exact scenario. But alas! This one was a success! I had a feeling the session was going to go pretty well though the moment I walked into their home. Why? Well, little Mr. Charming flashed a huge, sweet smile and gave me a hug! And little Miss grabbed my hand and began showing me her collection of shoes and pom-poms. I’m telling you, sometimes I feel like I’m having a playdate instead of working :) and I love it. Plus, mom, grandma & Uncles were so kind, so sweet, and so helpful. Totally amazing family! Lucky me because I get to go back in a few weeks to photograph the entire family (with mom, dad, and big sister #2 too). I’m looking forward to it!

a beautiful baby girl…gorgeous long eye lashes, perfect little lips, lovely dark hair and a nose that’s just as cute as a button.

When I received the email from mom that her baby arrived, she referred to her new bundle of joy as “little love” :) When I got to meet her in-person for our newborn session and saw her for myself, I thought that nickname suited her just perfectly, so perfect. Doesn’t she look like a little love? And, she was definitely as sweet, warm, cuddly and content as can be. At 17 days, she even let me get some lovely sleeping images that had me swooning :) Even when she was awake, she hardly fussed at all – a sweet angel, sweet little love, indeed! If you like these, just wait until you see the photos I got with her and her big brother and sister (they are equally as cute and sweet as she is)!

…the pregnancy hormones have definitely kicked in and I feel it full force! I’ve always enjoyed newborn sessions, but now that I’m expecting another newborn myself, I’m seeing things in a new light. Of course, I’m still in complete awe of how amazing newborns are – their tiny fingers, toes, delicate eyelids, little wrinkles, fine hair – it’s all really miraculous. How incredible is it that these little beings once lived inside your body? Truly phenomenal. But now, with every new baby I see, I get super excited about having that same newborn feeling again when my daughter arrives. And then of course, I get sad because I think of my son (who is 3.5) and realize how big he is now, how he used to be *that* tiny (he was born under 6 lbs)….and I think about how he’ll feel about having a little sister….how he’ll be sharing the attention…and the list goes on. But, one thing’s for sure – I appreciate and enjoy newborn sessions even more :) Having a new baby is unlike any other experience in life….it changes you in ways that you’d never expect. And I think until you become a parent yourself, you can never comprehend the emotional changes you go through when you become a parent – it’s a beautiful thing. What a blessing :) So enough of my rambling, and now on to our beautiful new baby girl below. She’s just precious….

…to an already wonderful, beautiful family. As if he wasn’t cute enough…I mean, I truly want to give him hug after hug when I photograph him – he’s got an awesome laugh, gorgeous eyes and the fullest, rosiest cheeks. What a cutie! Now I get to photograph his beautiful baby sister. Here she is, just as sweet as can be. Beautiful, peachy rose complexion…so small and precious. True, she didn’t want to sleep all that much during our session – but she did take a few short snoozes that allowed me to capture some lovely images – she even smiled for the camera :) I still loved her awake though, because I got to see her pretty eyes. And of course, the photo session wouldn’t be complete without the big baby: Muffin.

It’s hard being a newborn model. Since I shoot natural light, some newbies turn away from the window at first – but never has one actually attempted to cover their face! I thought this was just adorable :) more to come from this session!
