…is what was running through my head as I proofed this session. How sweet, lovely & beautiful – an adorable baby boy with his pretty pretty mama – these two are a vision of perfection with the soft sunlight behind them :) And would you look at those big blue eyes?! Stunning indeed! He was such a calm, cool & collected little guy – he was a joy to photograph and I’m very much looking forward to our next session! Here are some of my favorites :)

Playing some catch up here and happy to be blogging again! I had a wonderful newborn session with this amazing family. And just like with their maternity session, sweet Ella charmed me once again with her spunky personality! The first shot below I sometimes call the impossible shot – mostly because asking a toddler/preschooler to lay on the floor with his/her sib often results in “nooo! I don’t want to, no!”- but not in this case! She was more than happy to lay down with her bro…and her bro was very happy to be near his big sister – I predict a sweet relationship to come :) I also loved, loved him awake – baby Jack has gorgeous eyes and I was happy to see them wide open for some photos – what a handsome little guy!

…worlds! A beautiful baby to photograph in a beautiful house with tons of huge windows! What a perfect addition to a lovely lovely family! Sweet, precious baby girl was a delight to photograph. After puzzling us all by staying awake for almost an hour (a record for her), she finally gave in to Mr. Sandman and slept soundly. Turns out, my favorite picture of her is the one above with her gorgeous eyes open anyway, so it’s nice that she was awake after all! Plus, while we waited for her to snooze, I got to take some pictures of her CUTIE PIE big brother – he is the most adorable little guy :)

I know what you’re all thinking…something along the lines of “Oh my gosh, how cute, how absolutely cute”, or “He’s sooo adorable, I just want to squeeze his chubby wubby cheeks”. Yes, that is what I was thinking during our shoot, too :) Aand, would you look at big sister – so incredibly charming I must say. I can’t believe that the last time I photographed her, she was small enough to sit in a bucket and wasn’t even crawling yet :) Now she’s an energetic, funny, beautiful preschooler! My how time flies…and I just love that I’m able to capture these special times as their family grows!

I’ve shot here quite a few times over the years, but I somehow managed to overlook the saying on the wall time and time again…until now of course. I saw the image above in my viewfinder and immediately focused in on those words – I thought this was so, so fitting for this beautiful family :) I know, mom and her beautiful belly are simply unforgettable in every way – but big sister and dad are, too! Dad is so funny, I mean, really funny! He did have me cracking up for the entire session. And big sister is a firecracker! She has lots of spunk and kept me running non-stop. I had to crank up my shutter speed real high :P I had an awesome time…and I’m so excited to meet little brother!

….When people ask me what type of work I do, it always give me a giggle when I tell them that I get to hang out with my little buddies, make them laugh, and play with cute babies all day :) These three cuties definitely kept me on my toes and were so fun to hang out with. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing them three times…and I love that they are now my little buddies! I thoroughly enjoy hanging out with preschoolers – they are hilarious! And, and…I was even able to get photos of baby brother without his ziplock bag of snacks! Woohoo :) Our time together was so much fun and I can’t wait to hang out with them again!!! I will admit that it’s not always easy to photograph three active children together. Most often, getting just one good photo is considered a success in my book – but for this session what I was able to get made me extremely happy! Maybe the kids thought it was funny watching a big ol’ pregnant lady run around :) But I like to think it was because they were having fun hanging out with their *big* buddy – instead of getting their picture taken :) Of all the sibling photos, my favorite one by far is the one of them sitting on the crates with their hands in the air – I think it’s soo cute how they each did their own thing when I yelled “put your hands in the air!” And for the family photo, my favorite is the one with the purple wall. I do love a good portrait with everyone looking at the camera, but I always love candid shots more! Plus, look at how much fun they’re having in that photo :)

All of the ingredients for an amazing photo shoot were available when I photographed this lovely couples baby boy. We had a super sweet, sleepy, adorable newborn…A very organized, well-prepared mommy…A super helpful and loving daddy…Lots of big windows filling the rooms with beautiful natural light…and the icing on the cake was a heart warming sleep smile from our little model himself!

…lighthearted and playful! That’s how sessions should always be :) This sweet family completely and totally loved being together, and it was clear throughout the entire session. Giggles, laughter, hugs & kisses all around!

…to meet you! Really, really, REALLY happy! Would you look at that smile?! No words to describe her, no words at all. Those cheeks, those rainbow eyes, that button nose! Oh my! She was the smiliest newborn baby girl that I’ve photographed to date. EVER. After she pooped on my blanket, she was all smiles for the remainder of the session :) Trust me, I don’t mind a little baby poop, especially if it means I will get sleep smiles all session long! What an absolutely adorable, super chubby cuddly little girl! She was a total joy to photograph! Of course, everyone loves a chubby baby – how can anyone resist adorable baby rolls?! But I especially love them because they tend to be super sleepy :) Our sweet girl was indeed a sleepy little thing and that made for one happy photographer. But watch out, when awake, she opened her eyes big and wide – showing us just how gorgeous they are :)

…when you’ve got rolls and baby chub as perfect as his?
