…for one, this was an amazing session! Not only are the kids totally gorgeous, but they are fantastic models, too! Especially big sister – she was very easy to photograph and very photogenic. Sweet sweet girl, she gave me a big hug and held my hand as we walked to our cars at the end of the session – how adorable is that?! And little brother, wow – he sure is handsome. And when he stayed still long enough for me to snap the shutter, what he gave the camera was jaw dropping. He has amazing eyes and the most adorable smile! So yes, it was a pleasure photographing this lovely family. As if it couldn’t get any better, right? Oh but it did – the weather was heavenly. It was warm, balmy and the sun was golden and simply spectacular. A perfectly clear sunset! I can’t tell you how many sessions I had planned for a nice sunset, only to be greeted with gloomy clouds. So we lucked out this time! Another thing I just loved about our session were the beautiful moments that came so naturally…moments that made me sigh because what I saw from behind the camera totally tugged at my heart strings – mostly when mommy & daughter were together, chatting & cuddling – they have a clear connection that is so gentle & sweet :) I couldn’t help but think of my baby girl – just waiting for the day when we can do the same :) I just loved the energy and the vibe from start to finish. Everything was relaxed and natural….beautiful. I can hardly believe it’s been 2 years since I first met this family! And I am so, so excited to meet baby #3 – I get to photograph his birth! Yippee! I am lucky to be doing what I do. Truly.

In about two months, this adorable family of three will become a family of 5! Wow! And I thought I was in for a change when I was planning my family’s expansion from 3 to 4. Two sweet little girls will join this awesome crew very soon, and I’m beyond happy to meet them! If they’re anything like their big brother, they will be beautiful, easy going, sweet and oh-so fun to photograph! I think this shoot was a perfect way to celebrate this time – their time as a trio :)

I’ve shot here quite a few times over the years, but I somehow managed to overlook the saying on the wall time and time again…until now of course. I saw the image above in my viewfinder and immediately focused in on those words – I thought this was so, so fitting for this beautiful family :) I know, mom and her beautiful belly are simply unforgettable in every way – but big sister and dad are, too! Dad is so funny, I mean, really funny! He did have me cracking up for the entire session. And big sister is a firecracker! She has lots of spunk and kept me running non-stop. I had to crank up my shutter speed real high :P I had an awesome time…and I’m so excited to meet little brother!

…of what it looks like when you’re “all belly”. Yes indeedee, she is all belly. She is also gorgeous – but more importantly, she is amazingly sweet, kind, funny and just radiates joy! She also has the best laugh ever! Don’t worry, I won’t leave dad out though – he is also quite the looker, and very charming (even more so when he’s not illustrating what it looks like when moms nurse…or demonstrating ways to give birth naturally by dropping down on all fours on the sidewalk). I can’t even begin to tell you all how much fun I had! Dad is hilarious and mom is the sweetest ever :) And they have such a beautiful connection, it’s just adorable. This session was an amazing way to start up again after my maternity leave. I felt like I’ve known them for ages and I can imagine myself meeting up with them for some dimsum in the future :) I can’t wait to meet their baby girl (I hope she has rainbow eyes)!!! Yay for maternity sessions and Yay for rainbow eyes!

…the first is this sweet little girl who is going to be a big sister soon. A little miracle, blessing, angel. The second is her baby sister, growing in mommy’s belly! Yet another blessing :) I’m so happy for mommy and daddy! When we first met almost 2 years ago, mom and I instantly had a connection. I felt like I knew her for years…and now, I still feel the same – actually, even more so because I get to document their second baby bump! They are such an amazing, kind, gentle, warm and loving family – and I’m so excited that their little family is growing! And of course, would you look at how mommy is just glowing. She is beautiful, inside and out…one of sweetest, kindest, loveliest people I have ever met!

…I absolutely love, love, love when mommy-to-be is showered with compliments by her significant other during photo shoots. It makes me so happy when I hear comments like “Wow, you look amazing” and “You are so beautiful”. Or when I request that the couple hug/smooch and dad-to-be says “Sure!!” with big, bright eyes – as though he was just waiting for the green light to snuggle with his lovely lady. This was definitely true for our sweet couple below. Dad was obviously smitten with his gorgeous wife….and who can blame him? She’s so sweet and just glowing! And would you just look at their doggie? So cute! She was a very camera-ready poochie :) I’m very much looking forward to meeting their baby boy this Fall!

If little sister Chloe is anything like her big doggy brother Gus, she will be a sleeping champion when she’s born. It was a complete riot to see Mr. Gus literally pass out on the bed. He was awake one second, then the next thing you know, he put his head down and started snoring! I thought it was hilarious and so cute at the same time :) I’m really, really looking forward to getting some super cute shots of Gus + Chloe together when she makes her debut, I know he will be a great model for our newborn session. Plus, look at that face – is he not the cutest thing? Awww, and look at how adorable mommy is – she has beautiful eyes and such a sweet smile – and that baby bump, it’s so cute! I’m looking forward to meeting their new addition very, very soon! She is going to be a beauty!

…just belly. All belly. Nothing else. This is a perfect, perfect example of a gorgeous mom-to-be who is all belly. Not every pregnant woman can look down at her bumpity bump without fear of creating triple chins (ahem, like yours truly). She definitely did NOT have that – she was just radiant and pretty as can be. And would you look at that lovely hair and complexion – yes, she also had that pregnant glow. From behind my camera, I looked through the viewfinder and was literally in awe when I saw what was in the frame. I thought this setting was just perfect for her – delicate, pretty & sweet. And we even managed to find some beautiful yellow wildflowers – which aren’t usually in bloom anymore at this location this time of year – lucky us :) Even the thick cloud cover was so fitting – I thought it created a nice, soft, dreamy feel…It was a perfect morning indeed!

…photographing two very, very, very busy little bees was definitely a fun way to spend the afternoon! If you think this hive’s buzzin’ now, just wait until baby #3 makes his debut (which will be any day now)! I’m looking forward to meeting the newest addition. I bet he’s going to be a looker just like his two big brothers :) And would you look at this sweetie’s face?! His smile and laugh are so, so adorable. He also makes the funniest expressions. The very last image of this post has to be up there on my list of favorite toddler candids – his look is priceless! And wow, look at mommy. She is beautiful, really. Definitely ALL belly. Her skin is gorgeous, her hair is amazing (oh how I try to get my hair to look like this, but never turns out the way I want it to), and just overall — glowing! Thanks for a fun afternoon! See you all again soon :)

….the camera, that is! She was totally comfortable and clearly, pregnancy looked good on her :) Lucky me to have such a pretty mother-to-be in front of my camera! I was pretty bummed out that the evening was so cloudy (it even drizzled a bit towards the end of our photo session) because I was planning on some nice sunflare shots – but her lovely smile, easy going and positive energy cancelled out any gloominess that day! She’s as pretty as can be, and I’m so excited to meet baby boy very soon! I know he’ll be a handsome little guy :)
